Meet Julie

Julie1
Yes, that’s a lemur on my shoulder.

I’m a daughter of the King.

I’m a wife.  Married for 22 years to my college sweetheart.

I’m a mom of two beautiful daughters.

I’m an animal lover and especially crazy about my miniature schnauzers named Pixie and Paisley.

I’m a dreamer.  I have many visions bigger than my budget, my available time, and especially my ability.  However, God is ABLE.  He specializes in stepping into our weakness and making us strong.  He has proven to me that, through Him, I can do ALL things.

I’m also a woman who struggles daily; however, I’ve learned that my struggles keep me leaning into Jesus.  When I choose to glean from the trials, I can avoid repeat circles around the same mountain. Amen?

Blogging

For years, I knew that writing was a beautiful way God helped me study and find His answers.  I enjoy the challenge of searching out the Word of God and love to teach what I’ve learned through journaling, article writing, and blogging. I’m newer to the blogging world, so please give me grace (and tell me) if you see mistakes or formatting errors.  I’m a recovering perfectionist, so blogging is a real act of letting go – trusting God that the message is more important than the presentation.

My why

Life is messy.  And like most of you, I’ve gone through some storms that tested my faith, taught me about redemption, and gave me an explosive testimony of God’s goodness. Through it all, I’ve learned that God will not waste my pain.  His promise in Romans 8:28 says,

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Are you ready?  Open your Bible and highlight this verse – Ephesians 3:20.  It’s my life verse and a great encouragement that God is ABLE to do MORE than you can ever imagine is possible.  Let’s Hunger for Greater, together!

  1. Love this and agree! I too am a work in progress and a recovering perfectionist. Love that your Life verse is the same as mine and we are in Moms in Prayer together.

To God be the glory, great things He has done! He can and will do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, for His glory! Keep writing and encouraging! You are His beautiful daughter, inside and out!
